Origin Story: Tools of Curiosity
As a follow-up to This Should Not Be, we began exploring ways to address economic and educational disparities in our own neighborhood. Our research motivated us to start 2 Blocks, a student-led movement to advance equity in education in Cambridge. Several projects have emerged from 2 Blocks including Tools of Curiosity a 3D puzzle game app. TOC is based on characters from “Raven” a book written by Sue Loh a Microsoft software developer.
The book follows a diverse group of teenage computer science experts who are investigating a computer glitch at a prestigious bank. Tools of Curiosity helps the player learn various aspects of computer science through three of the book’s characters.
