Our

Work.

We work at two scales: long-term initiatives that tackle complex challenges over multiple years, and focused projects where students turn ideas into tangible impact.

iFp Initiatives

Initiatives are multi-year bodies of work that explore complex challenges through multiple student-led projects over time.

Transforming AI

2023-Present

Transforming AI is a long-term initiative rethinking who builds AI, who benefits from it, and who leads its future. Too often, AI systems are shaped by a narrow group and reinforce existing inequities. Through community dialogues, youth-led research, and public showcases, students shape AI's ethical, social, and cultural impact.

2 BLOCKS

2020-2023

2 Blocks is a long-term initiative examining educational equity and access to innovation in Cambridge. Despite living blocks from world-class institutions, many local young people are excluded from the innovation economy. Through youth-led research and community engagement, students surface structural gaps and reimagine pathways to participation.

iFp Projects

Projects are standalone, student-driven efforts that translate ideas into tangible outcomes, installations, or experiences.

GENIUS WITHIN

2025-Present | Kendall Square

Genius Within is a new kind of monument redefining how we honor innovation. Too often, tributes have overlooked the contributions of many. Designed by iFp students, this installation makes that genius visible, celebrating underrecognized impact and inviting viewers to see themselves as part of innovation's story.

This Should Not Be.

2020-2022 | Cambridge Public Library

Inspired by George Floyd’s tragic murder, This Should Not Be is an augmented reality experience created by iFp students to confront systemic injustice through storytelling and technology. The project interrupts everyday environments to spark reflection, dialogue, and collective imagining of a more just future.

LOOKING GLASS

2019-Present | Kendall Square

An iconic landmark and a favorite selfie location, the Looking Glass is a permanent public sculpture that reframes history, innovation, and belonging. Designed by iFp students, the installation invites viewers to look backward to Kendall's origins and forward to its continuing evolution as an innovation hub.
